We were visiting from out of town and Jinky's was recommended to us by a local woman we stopped on the street. Huge breakfast menu very good food, very good service. We would go back.
11/2/2011**** Yucatan Quesadilla. End of story. Get it. Love it. Stop wasting your time elsewhere. I've been three time, and there service has been great. I've always been seated right away, even during brunch time on the weekends. The food comes out extremely quickly, and it's delicious. My lady likes the Popeye Scramble, but I can't pull myself away from the Yucatan Quesadilla in order to try it.
20/10/2011 ***** This place is really cool. The menu is extensive. Only open until 3pm because breakfast is their specialty (hope u like chili and eggs). In spite of the food the best thing about this place is the cute-ass waiters. They are all very good looking with a special shout out to Chris C. who leads the pack when it comes to sex appeal. (and I dont even like white boys)
10/10/2011 ****I've been here over a dozen times, and it's still one of my favorite breakfast spot. My usual is the Santa Fe Chicken Salad with balsamic dressing. It's a good size but I can polish the plate off no problem. The Santa Fe Scramble is another fav, and I personally like the pea "guac". I'm always torn between getting the scramble or the salad. Another good one is the lox benedict.
10/14/2011 *****Lots of breakfast choices and combinations.
8/16/2010****Went here yesterday and LOVED IT!!!
It was VERY crowded (Sunday at 11AM near the promenade in the summer so I was not surprised.) I was watching the hostest and this is an odd compliment but she did a VERY good job of making the most out of the tables she had vs the groups of people waiting. I can appreciate things like that. My order, Crab cake Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was great!! It's the first thing I evaluate while eating the Bene. Perfect temperature, just enough lemon and salt, perfect consistency. AMAZING. The crab cake left something to be desired but I am not mad. I made crab cakes at home with my husband and it's VERY expensive to make good ones. First you have to double the crab they call for in the recipe then you absolutely need real high quality crab which you crack yourself. The ones I made cost me $45 all and all. So if I am eating a $12 dish and the cakes are ok. I know why. My side was tomatoes and they were good. I should also mention the crab cakes were pretty big, larger than the size of the muffin! The didn't skimp on sauce either, it was everywhere and I freakin LOVE THAT
2/18/2010****I went this morning shortly after they opened. Based on my experience with food in NYC, the food here was priced reasonably and very fulfilling in portion. I ordered the Eggs Florentine, which came with an abundant amount of potatoes on the side. I also ordered a side of fruit. Orange juice tasted fresh. Coffee was good and plentiful. The only thing that would have been better was if I had been able to sit outside, but it wasn't quite opened up for customers that early in the morning apparently. The waitress, Heather, was cute and attentive. 5-stars for Heather.I would have given this place 5-stars if they served alcohol.
