GodDaymn this was freaking hella good!
Hard to find parking here but its worth it. This is probably the best breakfast/brunch i had in life. I had the lox benedict w/ side of tomatoes (check the video). Hollandaise sauce was on point, perfectly poached eggs, lox had a delicious smokey taste, & the tomatos was the perfect balance. Im gonna come back here everytime im in LA. It was so good i had to mop the plate with a slice of bread, i couldnt waste a drop of this stuff.... Everything on the menu sounds good too.
I (vegan) was here with my teenage daughter and husband (non-vegans). We all really enjoyed our meal. There are quite a few options for vegans, and even though the menu says you cannot order lunch items for breakie, our server said we absolutely could. We all went with breakie, and we all enjoyed our meals A LOT.
So much so, that we returned to Jinky's another day, in an alternate location.
You will need a few minutes to decide, because their menu is extensive - I would guess there should be something for everyone here.
It's not a greasy-spoon by any means, but it's really not fine dining either - just a delicious, relaxing breakfast. We sat on the patio, and it was really lovely.

The food here was great! Prices and service not so much. Our watress took about 10 min to finally get our drink orders and they were not that busy. After that if we needed a refill or anything, we had to flag down someone.
I got the Red, White and Blue Crepes - turned out perfect! You do get a lot of food for the price, buy maybe its my Texas self - I don't think the cost was worth it.
My partner got the Banana with macadamia nuts and chocolate chips. They forgot the chocolate chips. No big deal. Just no one asked how it was.
Went to pay and it was an almost $50 breakfast - little step for the first meal of the day. Once we were done eating it took about another 15-20 min to get our check and paid out.
I would recommend this place for the food. Not the service though.
Was this review …?

Went for breakfast here and the food was quite good and service sharp and on the money. They made my daughter feel at home and had kids options which was important. It looks like it's been around for years and has operated on a consistent formula which works. Worth a look.

Nice little cafe with a great breakfast menu, maybe a little pricey but they do have a discount arrangement with some of the nearby hotels so ask before ordering. The Turkey Sausage was a real hit with our table.

If in Santa Monica on a weekday I sometimes will want a more hearty breakfast so I head to Jinkeys. The weekends are so busy so I try to avoid the place unless of course your a early bird then you may get seating.
I love this place for their selection of pancakes, breakfast sausages and Chili. Yes that's right Chili, they have a special for eggs that is pretty divine and hearty..
My favorite pancake is the Pumpkin Pancake delicious and the Sausages well gotta go with Chicken and Apple..

Good food and a reasonable price. We sat on the patio, (because BONUS POINTS: they allow dogs out there) it was a tiny bit crowded, and the server took awhile to come back between dropping the drinks and getting our food, but it was a busy Sunday around 10:30am and we weren't in a hurry so that was fine. We still got in and out in about 1.5 hours. My boyfriend had eggs with pancakes and bacon, he loved the bacon and eggs: said the pancakes were ok. I had French toast with eggs and a fruitcup and OJ. It was all great :)
Best part was my dog being welcome tho :)

Now here's a place I can wrap my taste buds around. The menu is very busy, it took me ten minutes to surf the whole thing.
I could have either had red velvet pancakes or some serious eggs Benedict. Instead I went for a chili omelette. Jiinky's offers a choice of six chili's a day out of some 30 they rotate. This peaked my interest as I greatly miss "Chili my Soul" which was a lunch shop in the valley that did similar.
I got the El Paso chili, which was labelled a heat ranged of 6. I think it was closer to a 4, but I like it spicy. Cathy got the pumpkin pancakes and coffee. I'm not much of a coffee nut, but this stuff had a great aroma and smelled very fresh. The pancakes were fluffy, not too sweet and wasn't heavy at all.
I look forwards to trying something else the next time I'm there in a few weeks.

What would I do without Jinky's? I work nearby and have been picking up or eating at Jinky's at least once a week for five years. I think it's always a good sign when they have the same servers year in and year out. Everything here hits the spot. You can have a typical breakfast, a burger, a bowl of chilli or a healthy salad and all are equally delish and reliable. They don't bat an eye when you make substitutions. My goal in life is to have them name a salad after me.

Best place for breakfast! Terrific menu with vast amount of choices. Great service and wonderful food. Pumpkin pancakes were my favorite dish here. Good coffee and all condiments on the table. Bright, sunny decor in a cheerful setting. Heaven for breakfast or lunch.

One of my favorite breakfast places all time!!! Their omelette is amazing and huge enough for two. My wife and I went here after a bike ride from Beverly Hills. We ordered Chili Supreme Omelette with potatoes. It was delicious. The chili omelette was made with East Indian chili that with ground chicken. The potatoes were sautéed to perfection with spices. My one

I have passed by this place so many times and not even noticed it. Wish I had seen it sooner. There breakfast menu is large. They have everything from scrambles to crepes. They also have healthy options. You can sub regular pancakes for gluten free ones. Love it!

Always looking for new places for lunch, and this was the first time trying this place. First, breakfast anytime is awesome! I didn't order it, but my friends did. The food was solid, and the service was actually really good. The place is bigger than I thought it would be, plus they have outdoor seating (always a plus at the beach). More like a 3.5. Would definitely go back.

I had Easter Brunch here with some buddies from college as it was a place that didn't take reservations and we were late to plan the brunch. I wasn't over the top about the pancakes or bacon I got but the atmosphere was nice. Wait took awhile but that was more than understandable as we were a large group on Easter Sunday. The food just wasn't great for me, the rest of everything was fine. I am giving it a 3 instead of a 2 though, because my friends did enjoy their food for the most part.

I am in love with the pumpkin pancakes at Jinky's. We normally go to the location in Sherman Oaks, but my daughter and I made this a destination when we spent the day in Santa Monica.
We were seated quickly by a very friendly host, and the waitress greeted us right away to take our drink order.
We ordered the pumpkin pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 bacon to share- there is a lot of food, enough for my daughter and me to share…

This is sort of a mixed review. The food was great both times I've been there but the service is horrible. If you are okay with bad service the food is definitely worth while. 1 star for service and 5 stars for food. If I go back and the service changes, I will update my review.

Tasty and filling. I had the turkey triple decker. Service was mediocre, but they accommodated me well enough. This place gets away with a lot due to the amount if tourist that come in and out. Mornings can get a bit busy. Overall, I prefer the Jinkys in studio city.

A ton of options on the menu. Came here for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. We will definitely be back to try more items in the future. My boyfriend had the Huevos Chili with the El Paso Chili and loved it. I had the make-your-own flatbread pizza. Both were really good and they were big portions.

This is my go to breakfast spot when I want to get seated quickly and wanna meet up with friends. We sit forever and chat over good food...never pushed out to leave. Awesome cranberry and walnut while wheat pancakes. Good service...& bottomless mimosas...all day! Need I say more???

One nice thing is the location is very close to the Santa Monica pier.

Just had to use my $10 for $20 Living Social. Wish I had bought a ton! I'm a SM local and never think of Jinky's, but the food was great, portions were large, and there were a ton of healthy options. They also have soy milk!
I got the Italian breakfast sandwich with egg whites, spinach, and goat cheese instead of mozzarella. On sourdough. Side of tater tots. Yum!! I also ordered the short stack of the oaty oat pancakes (oatmeal, oat bran, and wheat) to go to meet my $20. Haven't tried, but I am sure they will be great.
Sat outside on the small patio and made use of the free wifi.

I'm a lover of their GLUTEN FREE pancakes. SO GOOD.
They also have pure maple syrup and honey on request.
Their menu has a ton of options and even many vegetarian and gluten options.
We'll be returning. We just parked in the neighborhood behind the place. Simple.
I love it....can't wait to go back.

This place is great! The bananas foster pancakes are the best! A must try! My kids love the crepes. We have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The menu is really extensive. So much to try but its really difficult for me to venture off their breakfast menu. Its so good! The staff has always been super nice too!
The decor of the cafe is really comfortable. It looks like a home. I love the flooring and the patio is really nice too. They have outdoor heaters that help if it gets a little cold outside.
3/7/2014 ***** Marla B. Sylmar, Los Angeles, CA
We got the Sherman oaks Omelette. So far so good! Mixture of mushrooms spinach and garlic. Very basic yet healthy! they also have bottled beers for $2 which in LA is a miracle. So yes love this place!

Tina was amazing ! The service truly is outstanding ! The location is a bit small for all of the traffic that come in on a daily . That's why I gave four however everything is was so good . The food was hot til the last drop. They allow you to enjoy your time without rushing you . I am now looking forward to trying all of the locations. I can't wait!
