Solid family Cafe off the 118 on Arboles.
Location shares a parking lot with Ciscos and a strip mall so there is plenty of shopping. We went on a Friday night and it was nearly empty, which was concerning. The prices were reasonable; perhaps $3-4 higher per plate than you'd expect from similar cafes.
The service was 3-4 stars. Not great, but not terrible. The food was good overall. I got a Chicken Parm Sandwich which was tasty. My son had a flat bread pepperoni pizza which was pretty large and tasted good. My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich. Overall, the food was fresh and well prepared. Drinks were refilled after a short delay, but we didn't have to chase after the waitress.
The restaurant has nice booths and large TV's to watch sports. Frankly was surprised it was so empty on a Friday night.
Overall, a nice cafe to grab a bite. Family of four cost $60 after tip. Bit high for a cafe, but not crazy expensive. 4 stars.

Nice little cafe with a great breakfast menu, maybe a little pricey but they do have a discount arrangement with some of the nearby hotels so ask before ordering. The Turkey Sausage was a real hit with our table.

Every time I go to this place, it is packed. Given that, it is worth the wait. The inside dining area is cute, with a bar area and a split-level. And I enjoy sitting on the patio. In fact, if it is crowded and the wait is long, ask if you can sit on the patio. It may cut your time down considerably.
And every time I go to this place, I get a good meal. I haven't had everything, but what I have had is good. Breakfasts are always excellent. This past Sunday, I had a veggie omelette, which is good. Service is good and people here, workers and customers alike, are friendly.

Tasty. Salmon tiki masala, brown rice and veggies....plus a slice of garlic bread. Everything was great. From the service to the food. My salmon was well seasoned, slightly more well done than I prefer, but slathered in a delicious vibrant tiki sauce. I wish there were a little more sauce on this plate. Mostly to drag my garlic bread though ( I pretended it was nan bread).
Definitely going back to try out the rest of the menu.

Have eaten here a few times now, tonight was the first time to try dinner. It wasn't that busy, which was a real plus. Service was prompt and attentive. I still ordered one of their crepes...more of a breakfast item, but it's delicious so why not? And we had a caprese sandwich and the nachos. The nachos were only rated on "5" out of a 10 for spicy...but I found them extremely spicy. Loved my crepe. Dinner may be a better choice here, as it's always so busy at breakfast time.

Jinky's is my favorite brunch in LA. ALWAYS worth braving the 3rd Street Promenade mess on the weekends. You can almost always find parking in one of the garages on 2nd street, even on a busy day. As for the restaurant, there may be a slight wait, but it's never been outrageous for me. Just remember, they won't sit incomplete parties!
I love Jinky's Favorite omelet, and ANY of the Mexican breakfast items (breakfast quesadila!). Their breakfast potatos are always awesome, and I love their chilis (you can ask for a sample too). I've also thoroughly enjoyed all of the lunch items I have tried. Basically, I would eat here every day if I could. Definitely try it!

Amazing & Extensive menu. Best Breakfast in Santa Monica!!
Every time I go to Jinky's, I try something new. Everything has been 5 stars. When I go for breakfast I have a hard time deciding sweet or savory. While you decide, they bring you your own jug of coffee to keep at the table. 3 cups later..
Go Sweet with these - Flaky French Toast, Red Velvet or Pumpkin Waffles, Berry Nutty Crepe
Go Savory with these - Healthy Scramble, Garden Scramble, Athens Delight, French Garden or just a classic Eggs Benedict
For fellow Vegetarians, they serve soy chorizo, soy bacon, and other yummy soy products.
