REVIEWS 7/24/2011 ***** mimi w. Beverly Hills, CA Jinky's s not you ordinary cafe. The food is always great. The portions are large. You can share an omelet and an order of pancakes with two other people and you will leave full and your tummy will be oh so happy. The food always comes to the table hot and ready to eat. Sometimes, on the weekends there is a wait for a table, but it is always worth the wait. I have recommended Jinky's to many of my friends and they all have become repeat customers.

It took a random wisecrack, quoting Velma, that prompted me to come back to Jinky's. Don't know why, but it's been maybe two years since I was last here. I used to work closer, so maybe that has something to do with it. As much as I love chili (their specialty), I usually opt for breakfast foods when available. And they're available anytime Jinky's is open --- so now you know what you won't get my chili review here. Had a special today (Jason's scramble), which was nothing short of fantastic: Egg whites, fresh chicken breast, black beans, mushrooms with avocado on top. Not sure if I'm doing it justice, but it was heaven. The fruit was just OK, and the 'rye' toast was not really much of anything. But between the scramble and the coffee--- I was set. Coffee by a company called Cafe Nicco Coffee. I love this. I never heard of it before. And I also love how Jinky's gives you an individual mini coffee pot. I went through more than one. Xionx, I really liked Jinky's.
